Conference a Huge Success
The joint CSA and DBSG Conference was a huge success, attracting a record number of delegates to the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham.
Despite the perilous economic climate – or perhaps because of it – the CSA & DBSG Annual Conference saw figures rise by around 65% on last year's attendance, with nearly 400 members from across the industry taking part in the two-day event.
Delegates were no doubt interested to find out more about the latest developments in the industry – not least the exciting new thoughts on debt potential and collections.
The huge success of the event is probably in no small part to the current economic turmoil, but is also a tribute to those companies and individuals who are striving to find the best way of turning the situation around – as well as the exceptionally high quality of the event's content and keynote speakers.
Of particular note was Michael Wilson, former business editor of Sky News, who gave an invaluable insight into the current situation – especially from the media side of the equation.
Indeed, feedback on the whole event is exceptionally positive, with delegates giving high ratings to the venue and the event's organisation and content. The networking opportunities were also praised as useful for the whole media.
Nearly all of those who attended said they planned on returning to the next event in 2011, with nearly two-thirds of attendees describing this year's event as good to excellent.
