Credit 100 Announced
The second annual Credit 100 list celebrated the best in the industry, with a familiar face making another appearance.
The list, which showcases the individuals who have had the biggest impact on the industry, includes politicians, bankers, judges, creditors and collectors and was compiled by Credit Today from headlines taking place throughout the year.
The last year was particularly difficult for many companies and individuals but, with recovery hoped to be present by the end of the year, a brighter future may well now be on the horizon.
Leigh Berkley, Chief Executive of Tessera and Chairman of the DBSG was included on the list as he continued to set the agenda in debt sale, with a new manifesto for the group, stressing the need for positive PR, continued engagement with the government and regulators and initiatives such as working parties for data quality and best practice and governance. It was also noted that he had recently been elected as a director and treasurer of the CSA.
Leigh's listing also outlined the work being undertaken by Tessera as a whole: "Hybrid collection agency and debt buyer Tessera was in the top 25 businesses in the OC&C Credit Management and Debt Collection Index, and ranked first in the scope and innovation category for the second year running.
"Tessera's integrated collections technology and industry portal website was also shortlisted in this year's CSA PR Awards."
