CSA Membership May Broaden
The Chief Executive of the CSA has hinted that a number of new initiatives are expected to help make the organisation more popular to a wider audience.
"There are certain categories of company that are at the moment excluded that we would like to review," Peter Wallwork explained, "We are particularly looking at start-ups, who are arguably the group that could benefit the most from being within the CSA family and require the closest monitoring in the early stages of their development."
Mr Wallwork added that the collection industry's shifting dynamic has brought other areas into the limelight – and some need to be rethought: "It is important that we do not allow dogma to stand in the way of progress."
The association will use the upcoming conference in September to review the structure of both the CSA Board and DBSG Governing Committee to ensure governing members are used appropriately and that the needs of the membership as a whole are suitably addressed. This might include an extension of tenure for some roles.
"This isn't necessarily about root and branch reform," Mr Wallwork explained, "It is about using our Conference effectively to discuss and debate how we can best serve our members and the industry."
