World of Debt
The World Congress of Debt Collectors took place in Nice last month - and was an outstanding success.
The turnout was very strong, with representatives from all corners of the globe - Europe, Asia, America and pretty much everywhere in between! The agenda was similarly packed, with plenty of events taking place throughout the four-day event.
Leigh Berkley of Tessera was in attendance and, as Chair of DBSG, had the privilege of opening the congress with a very special reception. In fact, the opening night festivities proved a little too successful, with people having to be turned away from this highly prestigious event.
For many, the highlight of the event was the presentation by Stephen Mills, who spoke about debt collecting in Africa. His examples of using technology to break down the barriers across rural Africa was inspiring and gave a great account of how innovation can help conquer any challenge.
The event was also an excellent opportunity for people to network and the future for Debt Collection certainly looks to be in safe hands.
