Are Your Tracing Methods a Ticking Time Bomb?
As revealed at this year's CSA Annual conference, the number of debts that require a trace - where the debtor has moved house without informing their creditors - has increased ten-fold, from 860,000 reported cases in 2006/07 to more than 8 million today.
In fact, the issue of 'mis-tracing' has continued to grow at such an alarming rate that it is little wonder that industry experts are citing it at as one of the most important factors in the weeks, months and years ahead.
But with so many 'best practices' and guidelines being introduced, and so much information made available, it is essential to make sure you're carrying out a good trace.
So, with agencies facing unprecedented problems regarding gone aways, the CSA has begun holding specific 'Trace & Investigation' Courses, aimed at arming you with all the information you need to ensure a good trace every time.
The first course was held on 11th December in London and was vital in empowering attendees and giving them the knowledge and principles behind why tracing has become a necessity within today's credit hungry society, as well as showing how debtors can be found.
